Compass announces commencement of drilling operation for the Markert-Brown 1H well in Lee County, Texas.

Compass Announces the completion of Ferris 1- 1H and McKenzie 1-7H wells as producers from the Cretaceous Mowry formation in Wyoming.
In addition, Compass received approval from the Texas Rail Road Commission to drill the Markert-Brown 1H and Kleinschmidt 1H in Lee County, Texas.

Compass announces that it has assembled approximately 18,000 gross and 16,000 net acres in its Panther Creek Prospect in South Central Texas. Two wells are planned beginning in May, 2008.
